MIT introduced free online studies where you get to pay nothing for the course you want. This is according to what I read online. There are other institutions that have also started this.. http://rusty.weebly.com/free-education.html also get it from google. I was wondering where I could take some college classes online for college credits to go twards a general education, no degree. Are there any any recomended sites that I could sign up for at my age and still have them count so I can jump into my major right after highschool? I was told that some online universities are not taken seriously or seen as a “real” form of higher education. However, I have heard nothing but great things with Kaplan University. I am interested in taking classes towards a Social Work degree and would like to have some opinions from employers. My physical apperance and people skills have always given me a good chance of landing jobs. Now everything is online and my life on paper doesn’t speak well for me. I am going into the navy, mainly for myself, and I can’t deny the fact that I need the discipline, I always looked at soldiers, any branch of the military as people that deserve and command a certain amount of respect, I respect the lowest level military man more than the highest level financial tycoon. AND are there any universities that offer an accredited online masters program for childhood education? I am graduating with a degree in Child and Family Studies this May, I want to be an elementary school teacher so I am looking at getting my masters in teaching. I would like to work while getting the degree though and I know there are a bunch of different ways to get your initial teaching certificate but I did not know if any of those would work for me. Any help would be really appreciated!! I attend the Western Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School (www.wpccs.com) and have been for three years now. I plan on graduating from the school, and still have two years left to go. My question is, do colleges accept this type of schooling as a formal education? I have been told by a few that I will have a hard time getting accepted into a college with a online-education… is this true? I certainly do not want to harm my chances of college acceptance, and I cannot quit worrying about it. I would like to check out the accreditation of schools I am looking at. I know they need to be accredited. I just don’t know who does that or where to find that information. |
