I think what matters is not whether it’s online or not.
You need a doctor’s degree if you want to become an university professor. Master alone is not enough.
Besides, there is a plenty of master and doctor holders in Japan who are trying to find a job. In other words, job market for master or doctor is tight.
I don’t think you can get a job so easily in Japan.

Those things don’t mean sh** in USA or Japan or anywhere else.
Also if you’re planning on teaching English in Japanese university than you might have a chance, but any other subject, you need a hell of a lot more than a master’s you got online.

99% of the programs are in Japanese only.
98% of the population in Japan are Japanese nationals.
This guy (left) teaches in Japan. He speaks Japanese fluently.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ieQLKGIa7…

  • You can’t buy any degrees on web for being a professor in Japan. Aren’t you nuts?
