Are Online Education Credits Transferrable To Regular Schools ?

If I already have my bachelor’s, and I want to prepare for my masters, can I take most of the credits online, and then come back to the US and transfer to a regular university by the last semester, so I can have like a regular degree ?
Is that possible ? Are online credits transferrable ?
Thanks

Each school has their own policies. For example, CLEP tests are accepted at over 2000 colleges an universitites, although not many of their tests would be Master’s level.
Not only are the number of credit-hours that can be transferred different at each school, but sometimes within departments at that school. If you go online to your school of choice, you can find transfer policy info in the school catalog. But you should talk with an admissions or academic counselor at that school as well.
Most schools have the policy that if you transfer in, the last 30 or so hours must be earned at the degree granting institution. So even if you had completed enough hours to earn a degree, you would still have to earn 30 hours at that school in order to be granted a degree from that school.

You need to speak to an admissions officer at the school you want to transfer the units to. I would recommend doing this very early on, as you don’t want to spend the time and expense for courses that will not enable you to reach your goal later.

It depends on if the schools are accredited by the same group.

Depends on the school and the subject[s] involved and where on-line that you earned the credits. Chances are better that they would be accepted than not. Worth a try. Go for it and good luck!
