Are There Any Helpful Online Career Sites?

I’m on careerbuilder.com, hotjobs.com, monster.com and snagajob.com; online resume submitted as well and nothing. Do these places actually help? I go to many public businesses, submitting applications and I call places too. where else can I try or what else can I do to better my chances of finding employment?

    Hi Sara,
Yes, I would definitely say that monster.com and careerbuilder.com are both career sites that do actually help. If you want to start getting calls from potential employers, it is important to make sure on both of these sites that your resume is viewable by the public. This way, employers will be able to view your contact information so they can contact you. Otherwise, based on my own experience, you will not be getting contacted.
Also, if you update your resume regularly, recruiting agencies will have you high on their radar because they will see that you have recently updated your profile, which tells them that you are actively searching.
I hope this helps you. All the best on your career search!
    Regards,
    Soey
