My question is what are the steps to become a naval officer and then naval seal and will the time during training go toward my time enlisted. will i still be eligable for the college money if i do my 4 years in the navy. and are there any pay advancements in the portauthority police department for having a college degree? thanks in advance
At 22, I have graduated and am about to take on a position as an administrative assistant with a company with great room for advancement. In my current organization, I’ve noticed that all the people with this title are those without degrees. However, entry-level (ish) opportunities are hard to come by in the field of marketing/PR (my field) and I feel like an administrative role is all I’m going to get for right now until I build more experience. If I spent a year or two doing this, would this look bad to potential employers down the road?
Also if you do, why are you primarily doing them? For enjoyment or for career advancement?
All the impositions that kids bring? No money, no free time, no privacy with husband/bf, no job or career advancement? Can all of you really say it was worth it to have a kid?
In terms of job satisfaction, compensation, stress, opportunity for advancement, and job difficulty?
1. What is the reality of obtaining employment(at a decent salary) with an Associates degree?
2.I made poor choices in my life and have several misdemeanor convictions for theft…Would that stop me from being employed?
3.What are the advancement opportunites in this field?
4.I had good grades in school but have a G.E.D. and some college credits.I have been out of school for quite some time.Just how difficult is the schooling?
…There used to be a time when your friends, family & colleagues would be supportive in sharing your successes and also lending a helping hand in not so good times like money problems, relationships, career, growth & advancement. In today’s scenario, admittedly the pressures on each one of us is much more but so many of us become so insular that we would rather keep our feelings to ourselves rather than share others rants. Similarly our limits of tolerance have reduced. What would you say to such a complex & unwarranted scenario?
I don’t know how I got to be such a grump, but I’m just not very friendly. My professors have mentioned that I am not very personable and that that will hinder my career advancement. I am not sure how to change. I don’t have enough time for toastmasters or social groups. I can’t go back to school for a nonsocial career like engineering or computer science because of financial reasons. I try to be friendly, but I am just naturally very direct and confrontational.
employees. Can anymone suggest as to what are the companies that accept & hires young engineers? Willing to train them in exchange for long term and permanent contract. My criteria for choosing a company is, would the company give any career advancement like sending you to trainings and seminars? Would they gave ang oppurtunity that you will be given a chance to be a company scholar to study masters and doctorals. Please suggest. Thanks
I have been a small business owner and have experience working as an employee for a small and medium organisation. I want to leave my current job and am assessing my options. I work in consultancy and what is important to me is, career advancement, challenge, and working autonomously in an organisation that is flexible. ie I like the idea of being able to work from home, have flex time etc.
Your opinions on the pros and cons of working in either a small, medium or large organisation would be appreciated. Also can you recommend any organisations to check out?
