Medical Career Archives

So I’ve been thinking about studying for a medical career, and I was wondering – what career requires the least amount of school? I know some medical careers require like- seven years of school, is there a career that can require four or less than four years of college?

Where to start my Medical Career in South Florida?

I am 22 years of age, and I attended college for a couple of months when I finished Highschool. I quickly got bored with my major and I dropped out. Now I am looking to start a career in the medical field and I would like to know where I should start? My aunt does medical billing and coding, I would like to do that. I want try to get into some kind of health care company, with an entry level position to gain some experience. Any suggestions?

Which offers the best work for the best pay? Pros and cons of any of these careers? Am trying to decide whether to start as an LPN, then bridge to RN later (no RN programs in my area, but I may be able to do that later, if I’m working as an LPN), or medical lab technician? How about pharmacy tech? I’d be very happy to hear from anyone in any of these careers, or other medical careers requiring 2 years’ study. I am not thinking of sonogram or respiratory tech, since those programs are so hard to get into. Thanks.

what would be a good medical career for me?

I am a junior, and I have excelled in both chemistry and biology, and i really want to start looking at a possible medical career. I want to work in a hospital, not a doctors office. I don’t mind blood and stuff, and I want to go to only 4 years of college plus 2 extra years. any ideas?

I was looking into a possible future career in the medical field and found that suprisingly anesthiaologist make more than the actual surgeons! Is this because more school is required for them besides the 4 under grad+4 medical+4 residency?

how much can a register medical assistant with a AS degree can make and the medical career. Also can you go to a university and become a Physician Assistant or a Nurse Practitioner.

I am recently released from prison with a felony record. i am considering going back to school to help me get a job/career. I am very interested in the medical field but have no idea what careers prohibit persons with a felony. i would like to be a nurse but i know that is out… any suggestions??? i live in NC

I am 16 years old and soon to be a junior in high school. I get mostly A’s and I am taking several AP classes. I want to get into a good college and be successful in life. I don’t really know what I want to do, honestly. However, recently I became interested in pediatric oncology (kids’ cancer doctor). I don’t know for sure if that’s what I would like to do. Perhaps I would also like to work at a general pediatrician, or pediatric surgeon. I never really knew what I wanted to do, or even if I wanted to do something in a medical career. However, I really want to do something that helps people, and I know I would enjoy working with children, so I am thinking about this field.

However, I also am aware that to be a doctor, it takes 4 years of college, 4 years of medical school, and several years of residency. I always wanted to get married and have kids and have a happy family life. I know being a doctor would take up most of my time.

I would like to know what options I have in my future, where I can have a successful career and also always be there for my kids. I don’t want a babysitter to raise my family. What other careers should I consider?

I currently attend a university and am pursuing a medical career. I want to join the service and am thinking about applying for a scholarship. Please let me know which branch has the best future for me.
