  • University of Phoenix will take anyone who has money. Apply to a more reputable university this will help when you graduate

    You need to be employed, but not necessarily in the field you study! There are very few degrees at the U of P that require you to be working in that field – the only one, at the undergrad level, that I can think of is nursing. So to be an education major, you’re fine, just as you are.
    Go ahead and contact them to discuss your situation. But don’t forget to check out the online (and part time, if that works for you) degree options available local to you. You may be surprised that some of your local state colleges and universities may offer this degree online, and if you can find a public college near you that does so, it’ll be your least expensive option.
