do your research and stay away from schools that advertise as online universities. your best bet would be to get a degree from a traditional school that offers online degrees. try this site: http://www.usnews.com/directories/e-lear… it's a little long, but i would go to any of these schools before going to a school like phoenix, kaplan and even wgu. a degree from a traditional school will open more doors for you in the future.

Overpriced. I know a guy who spent $150,000 trying to get a PHD there.
There are so many state sponsored schools out there. The best business ones have the AACSB accreditation. There are plenty but you have to really do searches. If I knew what state you are in I could tell you some.
For the price, you can get a way better recognized school, and it will do more for you when getting a job because people will recognize it.....like for example......The University of Texas at Arlington....or the University of Illinois......you get the idea.....
If you say you went to Western Governor's they might know about it, but very slim.

Well it depends what kind of accounting career you're interested in. I'm not familiar with the school mentioned, but if you have hopes of working for any prominent accounting firm you really need to make sure internship and job placement opportunities are made available to you at an AACSB accredited business college. More often than not, entirely online programs do not have this service available so you're being shortchanged. Big firms do their new inexperienced hires exclusively with the schools they have strong relationships with and rarely hire the inexperienced on the outside.
On the other hand, if you're content with just working in the back office of a retail store, small bank, that sort of thing, then it likely doesn't matter where you get the degree since you can apply for these jobs directly on the outside.
