I Have A College/university Question.please Help?

I have never been to college. I want to do my college education online. I have a GED diploma, and I am so confused on which college and universities I should check into. This is what I want, an associate degree in nursing. It seems so hard to find the right school for this. I don’t want to be taken advantage of by these so called online schools that don’t mean much and employers frown upon like university of phoenix, devry, kaplan etc..also do you have to pay money to register for school? I read that if colleges want money upfront they are scamming you. I don’t know what to believe. I need help b/c I need to choose a school and apply for the fall semester. I need real answers please, preferably someone who has experience with online schooling. I also need names of the schools please. I am so confused on what school is legit

  • The best, and surprisingly pretty close to the most affordable and easy to get into is Harvard extension school:http://www.extension.harvard.edu/
It goes without saying that of course Harvard is 100% legit.
Due to the practical component I dont think you can do nursing online. Which is why you would be best going to your local CC.
    Thanks

Find a hospital near you and see what nursing programs they have. They are the best to get into because you get to meet a lot of professionals, see a lot of patients, and it will be cheaper most likely than other schools (because of the grants, etc.). In my opinion it is impossible to do a nursing major online. You need hands on experience with other hospital professionals to really learn. Schools who ask for money upfront for registration are not scamming you, that is just the way it works.

First of all, you can’t do the whole degree online. Even an associates in nursing requires a few clinical classes that have to be taken in person. So the best thing to do would probably be to find a local community college that offers this degree, hopefully with some night classes or a few classes of their own that are offered online.
Yes, you have to pay before you take the class. Otherwise, if you drop out, they’ve lost money – you don’t get the money back for the course if you drop out of it.
If you don’t know which online schools are legit, don’t risk it. Find a good local college.

    online schools are bs,
nursing major requires clinicals and labs, so its impossble to do it online.
