I too have heard good things about Villanova’s online program but I am not sure if they have a masters program in education for math. I did a search for fully accredited degrees in mathematics education and found this site. It has two schools for you to check out. I have heard good things about Marygrove’s Teachscape program and don’t see it listed many places.
Some master’s programs in math education have high core mathematics content. Other programs focus more on the education part, and less on the math itself. Which you choose is a matter of personal preference (for high school teaching in particular, I have my own bias, in favor of the more math intensive programs).
Some online programs with higher math content are the following:
Texas A & Mhttp://distance.tamu.edu/futureaggies/di…
University of Idahohttp://www.outreach.uidaho.edu/eo/ViewPa…
I took two of the courses in the University of Idaho program, and they were quite good.
The Drexel University online program has a different focus than the ones above (it is more education oriented).http://www.drexel.com/online-degrees/edu…
hey,
you have a fair amount of online colleges & universities as well as numerous degree programs to choose from according to your liking. there are hundreds of collegse & universities other then the university of phoenix and you can access a list of all the online colleges & universities, their reviews and the degree programs offered by them at: http://www.onlineedublog.com/
all of these listed institutions are accredited, so you need not worry whether your degree would be legitimate or not.
hope it helps
I have heard good things about Villanova’s online program. One of my friends took online classes for a master’s degree in project management from there.
