Is Axia College Of University Of Phoenix Online A Legit College Or A Ripoff?
I am worried that I wll be stuck with the student loans and no credible education.
Scholarships And Grants For Students Who Are Already In College?
The easiest way to find out is to see if they’re accredited, and make sure they’re accredited by the same group that accredits other colleges in your area. In my area, it’s the North Central Association, but I don’t know about your area.
Another good thing to check is to call a different local university and ask them if they’d accept transfer credits from Axia College or University of Phoenix Online.
If they won’t take the transfer credits, they’re not worth much. And don’t let the Axia College people tell you accreditation doesn’t matter. A lot of bad, fringe schools try to say that. Some even lie and say Harvard and Yale aren’t accredited. That’s a load.
its probably a ripoff cuz that name is tottally wack
Accreditation is definitely the first thing to check. On top of this, to the best of my knowledge Uni of Phoenix is a for-profit university, so it doesn’t have the educational advantages of non-profits (like being able to access digital copies of material online). From that perspective, I might prefer my fees to go to the quality of my education rather than into someone’s pocket.
just check to see if it is a regionally accredited university
Hi,
I’m teaching for Axia and I’m a PhD student at the University of Arizona. From the friends I have who teach there (and I can speak for myself too) we are a group of dedicated students getting experience in the field and sharing our knowledge. In my opinion, it’s a pretty good choice if you’re willing to put in the time and energy to stay up-to-date with the forums and assignments. Of course, it’s a for-profit university, but all private colleges are that way, too, and nobody would say that University of Southern California, for example, isn’t a good “purchase.” Just depends on what you’re looking for, I guess
Hi i am jus getting done with my degree from uop online and i have to say that it is what you put into it just like any school. if u slack off n dont do anything then that is what you are going to get. i dont understand what carrie up above is saying but what i do know is that my transcripts, books and other media are able to be printed off and are legit. I think that this is a great school and i am continuing on with my bs in psychology and then after transferring out for my MSW when i get that far.
Its what you make of it non profit or for profit school…
Well Carrie I am a student there and you better find out if you CAN transfer before you get that far you might be disappointed uop is a for-profit
