Name Of College Major That Would Lead To A Career In Military Intelligence?

I’m wondering what college major that I would need to look at if I wanted to go into military intelligence or get a job with the CIA, etc. What would that major be called, and where would be the best place in the southeast to go to for that major?

Here’s a list of intelligence jobs the CIA is currently hiring from. There are a wide range of majors and skills they want, from science to math to composition to languages.https://www.cia.gov/careers/jobs/clandes…

If you want to go into military intelligence, your best bet is to take the ASVAB test and see if you already qualify for a job in the field. Aside from that, there is no one right answer to your question. MI and the CIA encompass a variety of fields, so it really depends on what you want to specialize in.. you could look for degree programs in political science, international studies, national security, history, geography library science, remote sensing, statistics, or something related. I’d actually suggest going to the CIA website and looking through their career list. Find what sounds like what you want to do and look at the requirements.. it should list what type of degree background is relevant to the position. You can find it here: https://www.cia.gov/careers/jobs/view-al…

First of all you would probably have to join the military for military intelligence. You’d go with the ROTC on that and become and officer when you graduate from OCS. Then you’d be given the option to work in intelligence. During school, you’d major in science, if you want to be a scientist, or a translator, which would be linguistics and foreign languages. Take some criminolgy courses also.

A good liberal arts background from any descent college would do just fine. Consider Duke or any other fine school.
