Online Vs. Campus Question?
I was wondering is it better to have a Masters Degree that you recieved online or on campus ? I am in a situation where i am going to the university of montana and they do not offer any criminal justice programs. I was thinking about getting a degree online because its cheaper then having to pay out of state tution which i really do not have the money for.
If two people were to go and apply for say the FBI one has a masters online and one has one from a campus..is that going to make a difference on who gets hired?
I think people are getting the same education. They get to contact their students in chat rooms and email and also their intructor so i do not see the difference but alot of people think it is a bad idea..what do you think ??
What Kind Of Jobs Can I Get With A Master's Of Education In Guidance Counseling?
A lot depends on the school you go to. Make sure it is a reputable school because a lot of online universities are pretty flaky. As far as jobs go, they often don’t know if you went to an online school or not, unless they only do online. You could always ask an FBI recruiter how it works.
Also make sure they’ve been doing it for a long time. The place I got my master’s in library science went mostly online after I left and the faculty wasn’t prepared for it. A lot of them were really poor about answering emails and such.
Live classes have the advantage of networking and getting immediate answers to your questions. Online has the advantage of being able to take the classes anywhere. But realize that you have to be very disciplined when you take online classes. You should set aside time to attend just like you would a real class.
