MIT introduced free online studies where you get to pay nothing for the course you want. This is according to what I read online. There are other institutions that have also started this..
Does anyone know a friend who has done it or is studying for Free.
I have this article in:
http://rusty.weebly.com/free-education.html
also get it from google.
I currently don’t know any institution that offers free degree.
Or is there any?
I have considered taking an online program through a college, but need to find one that is accredited. I would like to do either paralegal or criminal justice. Does anyone know if Penn Foster is accredited or any other schools that have these programs online? Also, I’m newly married and at present, my husband is the only one working and we have a lot of bills going out and are behind on a lot. Are there any grants that I can get to help with education costs? I already have student loans and would rather not take out any more loans! Thanks!
I am looking at taking a managment course online and was wondering which schools were the best. I am looking into AIU and Devry. I have a friend that is going to Devry and she loves it. My husband is currently signed up for University of Phonix online and his education counselor has told him that it is a scam that they charge way to much and that the credits are not tranferable to another school. Does anyone have any suggestions
I want to finish my bachelor’s degree online but I’m not looking for an online university someone told me to look at universities that offer a completely online degrees (distant education program) I want to finish a business management degree.
Does anyone know of any good program that any employer will accept?
I am currently in a masters program for special education. I am a single mom and don’t have much time to go to a library.
I have an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts and currently work in sales. I would like to go back to school and earn a Bachelor’s and maybe move onto something higher after that. I took a couple of years off from school after some personal issues that I went through and I’m ready to move on in my life. I’m a little all over the place in my interests – I’m considering Journalism, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Teaching English as a Second Language, Education, stuff like this. I know I sound all over the place but I’m going to choose something and go for a Bachelor’s so that I can improve my marketability and skills.
Money and time are issues for me. I am considering an online degree but the “reputable” ones are pricey. By reputable I mean most advertised, well-known. Asking around, a co-worker told me he was taking courses at ESC – Empire State College which says it is a SUNY school. Sounds good to me since SUNY has pretty good standards in my eyes with the most affordability.
My specific questions are:
1) Anyone have any personal opinions/experience on this particular college?
2) Will getting an online degree be valued appropriately by an employer?
3) Will I have trouble transferring this degree to another school if I were to continue my education either in NY or elsewhere?
4) Do you have reputable, accredited (and affordable) online college recommendations?
I have just begun considering getting my Master’s in Education from an online university program. Having young children at home, it would be difficult to go to the local college, with daycare costs and the fact that it is 30 miles away. I was skeptical at first, since I don’t want some phony degree, but there seem to be many respectable options out there. Some universities with normal campuses offer online programs which are identical to the regular programs, except for the setting. I was wondering if anyone had tried this, and what their experiences were, good or bad. Also, was it any more difficult to get a good job with an online degree? Thanks.
I am interested in finishing my college education, but I can’t ‘go back to school’ and I would like to pursue a degree completely online. Does anyone know of any reputable colleges/universities that offer online degree programs?
I am looking to take the class online so I can still party this summer and still get an education.
I am married with 2 kids and work full time. I do not have the time to physically take classes at a school (the closest community college is an hour away). I want to further my education, but just don’t know where to go. I recently withdrew from an online school for several reasons, including the soaring tuition. Does anyone have any recommedations? What about Western Governor’s University? Thanks!
