I attend the Western Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School (www.wpccs.com) and have been for three years now. I plan on graduating from the school, and still have two years left to go. My question is, do colleges accept this type of schooling as a formal education? I have been told by a few that I will have a hard time getting accepted into a college with a online-education… is this true? I certainly do not want to harm my chances of college acceptance, and I cannot quit worrying about it.
Thanks everyone for your responses! =]
i’ve been trying to further my education but have NO time whatsoever to attend a campus so i was so excited to hear that i can take online courses! i immediately went for devry university as it seemed so perfect and the Representatives told me it was a wise choice it all seemed too perfect… so i did more research and found grim news.. that online colleges are mostly just for-profit organizations and the courses are not honored or respected… this is heartbreaking news for me but i need to know the truth before i make a foolish decision what would be my better options? thank you in advance
Does ANYONE have any experience with this school? I want to obtain my Associates in Criminal Justice. This online schooling would be great for my situation but I don’t want to find out that I took this school and after I graduate cannot get a job because the education was not legit. Can anyone help me, any and all advice would be great!!
I am currently enrolled in college, online and I am trying to find grants and or scholarships that can help me finish my schooling. I am going into education. I have heard about the TEACH grant, however I would like to see what else is out there without having to fill out all the information about trying to find schools in order for me to view info. Please help?
I am worried that I wll be stuck with the student loans and no credible education.
I have considered taking an online program through a college, but need to find one that is accredited. I would like to do either paralegal or criminal justice. Does anyone know if Penn Foster is accredited or any other schools that have these programs online? Also, I’m newly married and at present, my husband is the only one working and we have a lot of bills going out and are behind on a lot. Are there any grants that I can get to help with education costs? I already have student loans and would rather not take out any more loans! Thanks!
were both young and we plan on gettin married before i go into the air force and i wanna know would online classes for college be best for her cuz she still wants to get her education plus stay with me and i dont wanna take that away from her
I am looking into getting a part time job while doing an online degree in early childhood education to become a teacher. What part time jobs seem to fit well to go with this degree and won’t be to stressful to handle?
Also anyone who is going to college online and have a part time job how is it?
I am considering taking the (simple) required classes at a junior college to save money and have more “individual” learning— then applying for KSU, with the goal of becoming a chiropractic veterinarian.
I take advanced classes in high school and it is likely I can get multiple scholarships. Would it be in my best interest to follow this plan or not? I am willing to take summer classes or online courses to speed up my study.
What is the best “game plan” for my college education?
I want to get an associates degree is Criminal Justice, in hopes of becoming a CSI.
I have 21 units completed at my local community college but now its all full due to budget cuts and theres no room for me there so I am considering an online university like university of phoenix, Kaplan, UEI, etc.
Does anyone know which is the best?? I would contact a counselor at the schools but i swear if you show them one drop of interest they will stalk you until you enroll or change your number!!!
Also I’m 19 and get no financial help from family…cant even get fafsa because i cant get my parents tax info…what should I do?!!?!?!?!?!?! I want an education..is that so hard to ask. I have even tried for scholarships but no luck.
