i dont have liscense because i cant afford the insurance. i have job but i only make 7 dollars an hour for three hours. its the only job i can get because i dont have a ride to anything else. i can afford maybe fifty dollars a month for school but i cant find anything. ireally want to further my education.

I would like to take an online college course to become an RN. I graduated from high school but every college I look into seems to prefer a college education. I work full time and cannot stop to go to school and it seems like there would be at least one school out there that would accept people like me. I have actually been working in the health care field as an EMT and also in a clinical setting for 9 years and have acquired quite a bit of experience. I dropped out of college about a year ago, got married, and moved to very rural area. I REALLY want to go back to school, but the nearest university is 200+ miles away and I work 40 hours a week, so online college is my only option. I want to get a BA in English or Interdisciplinary Studies and become a free-lance writer and novelist. I know that most online colleges are for-profit and much more expensive than traditional universities, and I can’t afford to waste money on a degree from a school that isn’t going to do me any good. Is a degree from an online school better than nothing at all or should I save my money? In addition, if anyone can provide me links to good resources about online education or information on how to find a legitimate school it would be greatly appreciated. Yes, you can do online classes with a high school education. My advice is to look into the colleges of your choice to make sure that they are accredited. I took classes through Phoenix College, you have to be dedicated and willing to work because most of your work will done on your own. It is not like having a conversation with your classmates when you don’t understand something, you have to do a lot of writing (research papers) because that is the only way for your professor to know how well you understand the material. I wish you the best! i need to do the general education program before in my home state, since im not moving for a year, and i can get it all paid for, but i want to do it online so i can work and be home with my fiance. plus i cant like move near the school either, so is there a school preferably in MA that i can do an online general education program? Personally, I am only working at this particular job for a regular paycheck. There are no chances for career advancement or to learn any new skills. I am looking for other jobs but the job market is tight. Anyone else in the same boat? I am single, non-smoker, 25 year old female in reasonablly good health. Non-homeowner & no kids. i was looking into diet and nutriution and it’s only a diploma you receive, granted it’s only 6oo bucks, but do you really learn through an online school and will people really hire you??? |
