His father, Pierre Nicolas Lasalle, was an aristocratic military officer in the French Army and also a chevalier in the Royal Military Order of St. Louis, meaning he did fight in a war. What wars could Pierre Nicolas been in if he had an only son in 1775? War of Austrian Succession? French and Indian? The American Revolution? I really need/want to get a degree in some field (unsure yet) but I have to work two jobs and don’t have time to actually go to college. And it seems the only way to afford to live and not have to work two jobs is to get some kind of education.
I looked at the online learning places (Pennfoster) but it seems that those kind of places are not trustworthy and are a waste of time and money.
What is there that I can do at home other than those “certificate” places? Something I can get financial help for. Thanks.

I worked at a job, but left to pursue career advancement as a Pharm. Tech. However, I missed my old job sometimes. I don’t want to leave my new one, but would like to also work part-time at my old one. Didn’t give proper 2 weeks, I tired. But when I still call or go up there to buy stuff, they always ask me if I’m still enjoying my new job. I know they still like me.

There are plenty of folks who have both, and do both quite well. You also have those who can’t balance the two or have a spouse who cannot deal with the demands of a military career.
Mom and Dad – Dad was active duty for 23 years, 3 kids
Hubby – 23 years, we’ve been married for 20 with 2 kids
Brother – active duty for 20 years, married with 3 kids
The list can go on!!
