Hi Am am hard-working and dedicated person (BE.Information technology) software engineer Working in leading IT firm in India with 3.5 years work experience, I want to improve my career prospects[ Not only money, but also position, standard of living]. I am excellent at programming. I have been top coder of company but I did not get any significant career advancement. I have even shifted companies, but still no recognition for my programming skills.
Can you please suggest what course I need to study Am ready for higher study too..or Can I apply to jobs of other countries like USA, Canada..
Am ready to put any level of hard-work needed. Please guide me. Your guidance will be of immense help to me folks.
If GRE – I can start preparing for GRE ,I can apply for Sep 2010 intake only. By that time I will have 5 years work ex and 26 years old. This is the problem.

Hi guys !
I am about to study towards an MSc in Finance course at one of UK’s top business schools. My question is, what do you think the job prospects upon graduation are (given that the financial sector is in a mess) .
I wanted to work as an equity trader, however, I heard that the banks are not recruiting for such positions at the moment. The credit crunch made me thikning about a career in management consulting, yet I don’t know if the economic slowdown won’t affect such opportuinities as well.
Thanks a lot for sharing your views.

I’ve noticed that there’s a shortage in the field, but they pay is still low…is it because people are turned off by the career because it offers low prospects, as in pay, advancement, new projects, etc?
Or is it due to other factors? Any info would be great!

I’m concerned about the kinds of responsibility and working hours as well. I’m kind of interested in the trading desk. What are the qualifications I would need to get there?
