I am currently going to University of La Verne twice a week to receive my BA in education. However, I just started and the cost of babysitting is killing us (my husband works nights). I am looking into online colleges and checking there accreditation.
I am currently considering Liberty University. However, they aren’t WASC accredited but are SACS accredited. I would really like to go to a college where I can also get a sense of religious enlightenment. Any opinions or help would be greatly appreciated.
If you have gone to an online school I would greatly apperciate your help.
Other Note: All the colleges I am looking into do require student teaching. So don’t think just because you study online you get no experience.
I just recently moved to Ky with my husband who is stationed at Fort Knox. I was living in Ga and going to school there to get my bachelors in English with a teaching cert. Every school I look at near here are all early child hood education or Masters programs. Does anyone know where I can go? I’m looking for either online or campus.
Dilemma, online degrees are suppose to be for the working adult. The requirement in getting an online degree in education requires 12 consecutive weeks of student teaching. How is a working adult who works somewhere else suppose to do this? I can’t take 3 months off work. If I leave my current job (vested in 2 more years ) I most likely will take a pay cut and not guaranteed I get a job at a school while doing the degree. Any solutions?
I want to get my education degree (already have a B.Sc.) but am currently living in a remote northern Canadian town. I would like to investigate some universities, american or preferably Canadian, that offer either part or complete bachelor of Education degrees online. Tips or Recommendations?
I live in Ohio and I have a bachelor of geological science. I would like to take the Praxis test so that I could teach. But I need to know if I can do this or if I need to go back to college for 2 more years to get my master’s in education? And if I went back to college I would want to major in Geological Science, not education, so could I still get the teaching liscence? Help?
And then is there a difference between a teaching liscence and a teaching certificate? I really would like to be a earth science teacher for an online k-12 school, but need the paperwork and liscence or certificate to do so. So I am looking to do the quickest and easiest steps to get liscenced or certified in Ohio to teach.
Can anyone help me out with this? Or at least point me in the right direction.
With an emphasis in Elementary Education. I am looking to start this Fall 2008. And I would like for anyone who has attended to share his/her experience in the online program. And if you are a person looking to start this Fall 2008, let me know.
I have a B.S in psychology, but wanted to go back to school to get a Masters in Elementary Education. I want to work full-time while I’m going to school so was thinking an online education would be best for my schedule. Is there a way to get my MA in elementary education fully online? where my degree with be legitimate and accepted?
Do you know of any online universities that offer a Masters Degree in Special Education or Early Childhood Education with or without teaching credentials? I realize the student teaching component would have to be completed in a classroom. I received all 4 of my previous degrees on campus. I am still deciding if I want or need to pursue a credential at this time. I am looking for my next endeavor to be online due to my disability. It meets my needs better. I have websites for University of Phoenix, National University, Mount St. Mary’s and Grand Canyon University. It is hard to find course and program descriptions. I would like specific answers from knowlege or experience. Thanks!
I have a bach. and masters but none in education. I want to teach high school and although they offer online masters degrees in History to teach, they don’t explain if I need to have an undergraduate degree first. Does anyone know exactly what I would need to get my teaching degree with what I have now? Thank you
I am from New York State and wish to become certified to teach secondary school in New York.(Many of the programs I’ve found are only for elementary education, or are not offered in nys) ) I am looking for a masters program that would lead me to become certified in New York. Also, I already have completed my bachelor’s program.
