From my point of view,a degree is still a degree.Difference is classic is mere like a more hands on kind of learning than of online degree education.Could say exposure.Nowadays companies would look for graduates with experience working in their field.Correct me if I’m wrong. Thanks
I have my degree in Communications from EIU, and was thinking about going into education and getting my masters. What do you think of online degrees/masters?
I am afraid if employers will think sceptical about the degree getting inonline, or it is full the same.
I am a 32 year old male and move aroudn alot due to my job in the U.S. I will be beginning an online program for a Masters in School Counseling later this month at Seton Hall University. It is a well known school, brick and mortar, and part of the program is actually a residency there. However, the rest is online. I have decided to switch careers into education.
It is not an MBA or anything where connections are SOOOO important. An MBA you need the connections with your classmates and alumni network. Do you think this program is ok? I prob think going to school in person is better, however, this fits my lifestyle and the program is accredited.
i think i wanna do the rest of my college education online instead of in the classroom. would u suggest this when i want to go into fashion merchandising. and jus get a bachelors degree? also. is it cheaper or more costly?
I am thinking about continuing education online. I want to get my bachelor’s degree in nursing. Of course, they sound fairly easy to deal with. Does anyone who has done this have advice??
I think it depends on what part of the country you are trying to become employed in. Down south sure, but up north I do not think so.
I know what I am talking about my husband is a teacher. We moved from the north to the south for work. In Michigan it would be very hard for you to get a job, when there are two hundred applicants who went to better schools than you. It matters were you went to school up there.
Do employers acknowledge online education as an appropriate means of education?
Hey There-
I was just doing a search online for different jobs in a few different cities. I am searching Yahoo Jobs right now but also when searching Monster or Career Builder I see Job postings for Online Surveys and online Job opportunities. I know they must be somewhat legitimate because it costs $350 just for one month of posting a job on Yahoo for Kansas City.
So if anyone has ever tried surveys or online jobs that promise making money online. Let me know how you did or what you think?
I don’t have a very good work ethic. Ever since I can remember, I’ve hated doing work of any kind. And I don’t much like it when people tell me what to do. (Although since I’m only 14 I’ll have to deal with it, lol.) I can’t really do anything like painting or sculpting, because I can’t draw at all. I’d prefer something that’s fun, but has a good pay. Also something that won’t require me to take a lot of math/science classes in college.
I absolutely LOVE animals. I also like to do people’s hair. I was thinking about getting into photography, but I don’t have a good camera and it seems as if many others are getting into it as well. I like informal classes such as drama, art, and sometimes gym class. I can type really well. I’m not really much of a leader, but I’m still working on that.
Based on this information, what kind of career would best suit me? Or, do you know of a good, free career test? I live in NC if it matters.
