I am looking into getting into an online masters program in education. Specifically, I want to teach High school science. Do you recommend WGU if you have gone? Job prospects? Other online program you recommend? Thanks …any info is appreciated.
I’m trying to get a job at my old highschool to be a para for the special education children. That means I would LOVE my job, get paid well, and have to stay in my hometown. Problem is, this fall I have to go to college. I could go to a Junior college, where it’s cheap and about 30 minutes away, or I could even do online college.
But, all my friends go to universities and they love it. Would I be missing out? I really wanted to get away and explore, learn about myself, etc. I’m nervous that I will make a wrong decision….if I go to a university, I can’t work at my highschool anymore. I’m just so confused!
I need advice! Whenever I ask friends/parents/teachers, they always seem to give me advice that’s directed towards them. I need advice that’s good for ME! Please help!
Particularly if that university is famous for providing online degrees, is that a disadvantage?
I’ve been thinking like, people would recall that oh he graduated from that university, he must’ve earned it online.
Or is it considered an advantage being a pioneer in online education as well as offering degrees by the conventional method?
Bellevue University is a university located in Bellevue Nebraska and they offer online degree programs as well as campus based programs. Their business degrees are also accredited by IACBE. I was just curious as to others experience with their program. I am considering on continuing my education with them.
I have just begun considering getting my Master’s in Education from an online university program. Having young children at home, it would be difficult to go to the local college, with daycare costs and the fact that it is 30 miles away. I was skeptical at first, since I don’t want some phony degree, but there seem to be many respectable options out there. Some universities with normal campuses offer online programs which are identical to the regular programs, except for the setting. I was wondering if anyone had tried this, and what their experiences were, good or bad. Also, was it any more difficult to get a good job with an online degree? Thanks.
I’m wanting to get an education degree, but don’t work in the school system.
I am 27 and definitely going back to college but I think I could work more and be able to time manage online college because I could set my schedule. How are these degrees viewed among employers verse a university you actually attend? I am thinking of going for an education degree. Thank you.
I’m looking for advice on obtaining an online marketing degree from a state school. Due to working full time and being relatively far from the nearest university I am considering finishing my degree through Oregon State’s online courses. It’s a fully accredited school recognised by the CHEA and the U.S Department of Education. Will it show in my records that this degree was obtained online? Will this influence potential employers view of my degree?
Thank you!
I’m thinking about a getting Masters in Information Systems, but do employers value this education as much as a traditional graduate degree?
I have no experience or previous education in the field I want to get into. If I get an online degree will I be able to get a job with it?
