I have a bachelors and masters degree in accounting. I would like to teach in Ohio. Is it necessary to obtain a license or certificate? How do you do this? Can you do it online? Approximately how long and how much might this take/cost? Is there any chance a high school would hire me to teach a high school accounting class? Basically, I would like to change career paths….what hurdles must I now overcome to teach?
I am considering enrolling in an online course in Master’s of Education with a specialization in Guidance Counseling. I do not want to be a teacher. I want to work in administration in a Community College or Junior College. The program says that it prepares me to work in a PK-12 setting. Does that mean that this degree will not be attractive to employers at a Community College? Should I be looking at programs that specialize in Adult Learning/ Education? I haven’t seen too many programs for Adult Learning, and it seems like a Master’s in Education is usually for PK-12… I just don’t want to take the course and then have no one want to hire me in a community college because they prefer some other kind of degree.
I graduated with a degree in Poli Sci and Spanish. Im teaching in Spain right now and I love it! I want to get a Masters in Education Leadership and Administration but I need teaching experience first. How do I get certified to teach? I know the requirements are different for each state but I’m talking in general terms. Can I get started online?
Thanks!
None
K-12
HS diploma
Some college
certificate of some sort
AA/AS
BS/BA
Masters
PhD
PS.. We all know online college doesn’t count, so if you have a degree from an online university, please answer “HS Diploma”
I have found a course I wish to do via online learning and not being from the US I don’t understand the cost per credit hour quoted. It is a Masters course and is quoted at $1000 per credit hour.
From the brochure there are 33 – 36 Credits spread across 11/12 courses. Does this mean that the cost is $33000?

I am a working mother and I want to further my education and get a bachelor’s degree in business but I need to take all my classes online. I want to get my degree from a college that will look good on my resume as well as get the best education so that I can get a good job. What are some good colleges that offer online business degrees?
i want to get my Bachlor’s degree. i’m not sure in what yet. most likely business or education. but i want to know what is the top online school where i can get my bacherlor’s degree.
Well, ultimately, I will attend a RN program and maybe further my education with a BS in nursing. However, right now, the only college option is an hour away and rates university expensive. I need to get several pre-reqs such as Amer Gov’t, Sociology, Microbiology, Public Speaking, Nutrition, College Algebra, and maybe Spanish. I was thinking about attending an online college for my pre-reqs but I am having trouble finding a college I can go to just for these classes and not be degree seeking. Any advice?
I have yet to decide what career I wish to follow but plan to support myself and would prefer to not have to take out a student loan. health (healing and recovering from long term effects of autoimmune disorder) and MOSTLY family situations (parents retiring and need my help) being unpredictable sometimes I won’t have a guarantee at a routine to keep up with regular classes. Some of the more general classes I know I can test at the beginning of a semester and pass without having to attend a class I finished highschool doing that to graduate on time after being sick from gastroporesis(4.0 G.P.A. ;D). More specifically though I thought if perhaps I studied for the classes I can test for pass them and do the rest mostly online all year long (which can sometimes be less scedule restricting) I could do work and studying the rest of my time. I’m 20 & hear it takes 7-10 years to get this level of education so the sooner I can start the better.
I’m going to graduate high school this year and I want to go to college to become a special education teacher. What is the first degree I must start off with to become one?Than what other degrees do I have to earn to get a job as a special education teacher? I want to go to college online so I want to know what degrees to start with. Thanks for any help/
