I am interested in pursuing a degree in nutritional science, and writing/communications or journalism. Is it possible to take online courses that will apply later if I decide to join an institution.I am 27 yrs old,and there were allot of disruptions and delays in my education due to some problems, but now I am looking to pursue an online education which can possibly transfer later on. HELP ME PLEASE…
also I need a career that will have a future in it…I am interested in natural health and writing…I want to get into a naturopathic college but it will take a long time, any way to speed it up? I have to go for my under grad..I HAVE A GED ….
I’m 25 years old about to turn 26. I have not been able to have friends, go out, or have a girlfriend for the last 7 years due to deaths in family…so I’m had to stay home to take care. I grew up in a small town where all of the good looking girls where taken and I’ve always been told that I look good (I’m asian guy). It’s crazy now that I’m 25 and never had a girlfriend. I was so outgoing, and just about everybody liked me…and I was part of the “crowd” in school. Was a team captain of the golf team, etc etc. I lost everything except for my education, which now I’m working on my masters degree online. Is this normal to be feeling sad all the time due to my situation? I’m trying to be as optimistic as I can, and I want to know if there is anybody out there that is going through the same sort of thing.
Do I go through the Commision on Higher Education?
Just because the online school says they’re accredited will other schools accept the tranfered credits & will prospective employer’s take my degree seriously?
I was looking at an online university as one of my options for grad school and immediately i found out there is a great amount of resistance in accepting online degrees in the professional world. Even if the education is of high quality, online degrees are generally dismissed as inferior or even fake. It seems to me that one day, online education will be very common.
How long do you think it will take before online education will be widely accepted, if you think it will one day be widely accepted?
I’m a working mother and I can’t quit my job to go to college but I want to further my education so I can get a better paying job. I need to know where the best place is to get an online degree that businesses will accept as a degree. PLEASE HELP.
I talked to an Army recruiter about going in as an Officer and he told me that if I wanted to get a masters or MBA or basically take any class, the Army would pay for 100% of it. Can any Army officer vouch for this?
I am planning to get an MA in Military History through American Military University and then get an MBA through Thunderbird SGM online.
I’m looking for an accredited online college that will allow me to get a paralegal certificate. I was looking at “Canyon College”, which seemed to be a pretty good choice, but when I did a little more research, I found that they’re not really accredited by the U.S. Dept. of Education. Is this true? And does anyone have any suggestions for a good online college that won’t give my parents heart attacks when they see the bills?
i dont have liscense because i cant afford the insurance. i have job but i only make 7 dollars an hour for three hours. its the only job i can get because i dont have a ride to anything else. i can afford maybe fifty dollars a month for school but i cant find anything. ireally want to further my education.
I went to college for 2 years and had to withdrawal for financial reasons. I am very successful at what I do, but I plan to finish my degree over the next six part time.
I see all these advertisements for online university. Most local colleges seem to be offering more classes every year online.
It causes me to wonder how far away we are from most degrees being earned online as a standard and not the exception?
It would probably help (in theory) to cut down the cost of higher education as it becomes more accepted.
You might think at first that people will not get as much from learning onlline as they do in the lecture or class setting. But most learning is done from text.. And.. I remember when I was younger in college I was a little distracting on the social scene of the campus and probably should have spent more time in my studies.
Would also be more environmentally friendly too.
Would you hire someone with a professional demeanor and a distance degree from a developing country (but still an American or a legal immigrant), especially were such employee all you could afford?
