It depends on your major. Some online colleges are not accredited and you will not be recognizied as having a college degree. For example, in my home state a degree in education from an unaccredited online college would not allow me to teach. My advice is to check with the state agency that you plan a career in to make sure the degree will count. Don’t waste money on something that won’t be worth the paper it was printed on. Good luck

According to a financial aid calculator I used online (http://www.finaid.org/calculators/costpr… it’s going to cost each of my children about $150,000 to attend a public university for four years. (The calculator accounts for rising tuition costs stemming from the fact that state governments don’t pay for higher education as much as they used to.)
I’m not a millionaire, so I’m going to fall way, way short of $150,000 for each child. But to the extent that I can, I want to spare my kids from having a crippling amount of debt after their college graduation.
What method of saving for college are you all using? What are the advantages of the method you’re using?

Well, ultimately, I will attend a RN program and maybe further my education with a BS in nursing. However, right now, the only college option is an hour away and rates university expensive. I need to get several pre-reqs such as Amer Gov’t, Sociology, Microbiology, Public Speaking, Nutrition, College Algebra, and maybe Spanish. I was thinking about attending an online college for my pre-reqs but I am having trouble finding a college I can go to just for these classes and not be degree seeking. Any advice?

One of my education professors said that most graduate schools would like for you to have at least five years before applying, but I don’t want to wait that long.
Do they have colleges and universities whether online or on campus that I can go with at least two or years of education work experience?

Is the college you are attending accredited? How many courses have you successfully completed? Would you recommend this option of obtaining a degree to a friend, family member, or co-worker? If you wanted to change anything about online education and your experience, what would it be? I am working on a small study asking these vary questions. Any help you might have would be greatly appreciated.

I have noticed that the vast majority of high-ranking officers and NCOs in the military are married. I have also noticed that most servicemembers had some prior employment experience before joining. As I mentioned in my previous questions I am 20, am planning on enlisting and have never dated or worked a job. I also know a newly-commissioned 2LT who is 21 and has never dated. He did JROTC in high school and ROTC in college and was as active in both programs as he could be. However he says many of his buddies make fun of him. He also says that his troops cant take him seriously because of it. They think he’s gay cause he never dated and they think he is spoiled because the army is his first official job. He often obsesses on those and wishes they werent true. Does getting married count as promotion points in the army and does attending formal events help your career as well? Also, would these factors make more of a difference for officers, Warrants and NCOs than lower enlisted?
