For example, in my home state a degree in education from an unaccredited online college would not allow me to teach. My advice is to check with the state agency that you plan a career in to make sure the degree will count. Don’t waste money on something that won’t be worth the paper it was printed on. Good luck

I’m not a millionaire, so I’m going to fall way, way short of $150,000 for each child. But to the extent that I can, I want to spare my kids from having a crippling amount of debt after their college graduation.
What method of saving for college are you all using? What are the advantages of the method you’re using?

I have noticed that the vast majority of high-ranking officers and NCOs in the military are married. I have also noticed that most servicemembers had some prior employment experience before joining. As I mentioned in my previous questions I am 20, am planning on enlisting and have never dated or worked a job. I also know a newly-commissioned 2LT who is 21 and has never dated. He did JROTC in high school and ROTC in college and was as active in both programs as he could be. However he says many of his buddies make fun of him. He also says that his troops cant take him seriously because of it. They think he’s gay cause he never dated and they think he is spoiled because the army is his first official job. He often obsesses on those and wishes they werent true. Does getting married count as promotion points in the army and does attending formal events help your career as well? Also, would these factors make more of a difference for officers, Warrants and NCOs than lower enlisted?
