What is a good career in the health care field that can be completed in a year?

I live in Oregon, I am on unemployment and wanted to take advantage of the legislation passed by Obama to provide unemployment compensation to those who want training, the thing is it has to be completed in a year. Any other suggestions for a good career would also be appreciated.

    To clear things up:

An X-Ray Tech has two years of core study PLUS the years it takes to get the colleges general requirements done -

A phlebotomist can get a certificate in a matter of months

A CNA (certified nursing assistant) can get a license after they take a 120 hour class (lecture/lab/clinical) usually about two months!

CNAs typically LOVE their jobs and the people they work with, additionally, if you agree to work with a company as a CNA for a year or two they might pay for you to become a Registered Nurse which opens up a LOT of possibilities … and the pay is nice…

    Good Luck!
