Because spending more on education has gotten 0 results.
You want to improve education, make vouchers available for every child to pick the best school.
Give a school more money, and you get 6 vice-principals and 8 guidance counselors …. and this just for elementary school.

Didn’t you know that conseratives believe public schools are taught by teachers who belong to the NEA, a liberal union, while colleges and universities are run by elitist liberals. All Conservatives believe that children should either be home schooled or sent to private schools paid for by vouchers

Now do you really think Bush or anyone else is concerned when they have money coming in from students from all of the world attending our colleges and universities.You know that any money spent on education is not only for the benefit of your American cousins, but for everyone all over the world that want to be part of getting a better education. Now don’t come up with they have a right, that right first comes for the American student and then if there is room available students of other countries. Yes, we have students going to other countries, but is that for a better education or for their own reasons. I agree with you about money being spent on education, but just like alot things that have taken place, will it used in the right places. Visit some of our colleges and universities and see who is there, not many of your American cousins. Most can’t effort the cost and also the limit of students has been reach, so they can’t get in. My thought has always been with alot of things, when we have taken care of our own should we go off and take care of the world. We have tryed to support everyone but our own, and we still have people coming to the United States wanting to make changes in different areas for their well being. Good Luck-now vote for someone that will do a good job at what you are looking for.

Because that would have no immediate profit for them.
They only spend money on things that benefit them in the immediate short run.
If it takes a bit of patience to bring to fruition (like widespread education), and/or benefits other people, you can forget the GOP spending money on it.

Money has been thrown at public education for too long. Its ok to take away from the troops (pay amour, necessities, according to the libs) as long as the failed public school gets more money This is what is wrong with America
