I have two friends, who majored in Spanish. Just because we speak a second language (or more) our hourly rates for jobs are higher than those who do not speak a second language. In most cases you will find that you are offered a higher wage, even if you don’t use your language. If you are planning a job with a Government agency, the rate in pay is noticeable. If you are proficient enough in any of the languages, you can also do work on the side for Government agencies. One of my friends works on contract with the courts. He is paid $50 per hour to translate for the courts. Hope this helps.
